After Chrysler sold Gulfstream Aerospace to New York financier Theodore “Teddy” Forstmann, the race was on with Bombardier to create the world’s first ultra-long range corporate jet. It was the G5 versus Bombardier’s Global Express – the race to market was on.
The LɅɅNCH team was selected to join an elite management group to not only help win the short-term battle with Bombardier but to help create and execute the long-term advertising and marketing activities of the company. After six years, Gulfstream was sold to defense giant General Dynamics Corporation for nearly six times its original price.
